Searching for a great honeymoon spot? We’ve got you covered!
I just returned from a week at Generations Riviera Maya, a new property from Karisma Hotels and Resorts that has just opened up in Riviera Maya, Mexico and it was absolutely incredible!
Located right on the beach, the hotels (El Dorado Royale, El Dorado Casitas Royale and Generations Riviera Maya) are all next to each other, and by staying at Generations, you can use the amenities of each property. This came in handy when I wanted to use the gym in the morning, for example, as the El Dorado Royale gym has more features than the Generations gym, which is still being added to.
The properties are gourmet-inclusive, and AMAZING. The setting is so romantic, particularly for honeymoons, so much so that I’m planning my best friend’s honeymoon here in September!
My favorite features:
Gorgeous Setting: The rooms, the beach, the restaurants— Karisma really nailed it when they built Generations. I particularly loved having breakfast on the pier, in their gorgeous Chef’s Market, indulging in gorgeous fresh meals while the waves crashed below. Hello, bliss!
Our group having breakfast in the Chef’s Market. Look at that water!
Friendly Staff: Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From the butler staff who were always available and made my stay excellent (24-hour room service!) to the activities team that made lounging by the pool a whole lot of fun, we had a blast. And there were lots of great activities too! Morning yoga on the pier, anyone?
Look at all of those fun activities! And Luis, who is awesome.
Romance, Romance, Romance: This place is so gorgeous, it made me want to find a boyfriend and marry him just so that I could go on honeymoon here. Look at the rooms at El Dorado Casitas Royale, where I’m sending my bestie on her honeymoon. SEXY!
Did I mention this room has it’s OWN POOL? Just outside of the sliding doors. And an outdoor shower. It’s amazing!
Gourmet Inclusive: All of the hotels are gourmet-inclusive (gratuity is additional) and the food, the drinks & the service is superb. I seriously didn’t go more than 10 minutes without someone asking me if I’d like another drink, and I particularly loved the diversity of the food. Generations Riviera Maya has a Japanese restaurant on property called Jade, for example, that was particularly delicious. And of course, Mexican food is never hard to find!
All in all, I had an amazing experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. I can’t wait to hear back from my best friend after her honeymoon! I wish I could tag along too!
