Happening or secluded: Which town in Bali is right for you?

0

Bali is a small island, but every single part of it has a different vibe. Where you should spend the most of your time ultimately depends on what kind of holiday you are looking for.

This one island offers mountains, beaches, rice terraces. You can be close to shops and restaurants or hidden away in a quaint local village.

So, which area in Bali is ideal for your holiday? Check them out below!

 Seminyak – South Bali

Seminyak is extremely happening, which makes it one of the hottest holiday destinations on the island. If you are into beach clubs, buzzing nightlife, sipping cocktails, exploring exquisite food choices, pampering yourself with endless spas and shopping, then Seminyak is definitely the place for you.

Popular beach clubs include KU DE TA and Potato Head.

There are many high-end spas all around the city.

If you are expecting some ‘instagrammable’ food photos, there are various fancy restaurants, trendy coffee bars with excellent brews.

Accommodation choices are abundant, and staying in Seminyak villas guarantees an unforgettable experience for your girls’ trip.

Canggu – South Bali

The high waves and reef breaks are what makes Canggu so popular among surfers. Just a little north of Seminyak, Canggu has a very different vibe.

Canggu is a rather stretched out area, covering a couple of beaches: Berawa Beach, Nelayan Beach, Batu Bolong Beach, Echo Beach, Pererenan Beach and Seseh Beach.

If you wonder which is the best beach for surfing – Echo Beach is #1! Of course, other than surfing, tourists come here for the Sunday bazaars, cultural performances and hip cafes!

Ubud – Central Bali

Ubud is also known as the ‘cultural heart of Bali‘ and it has a massive attraction to artists, yogis, and lovers nature and culture. The city centre is very lively and happening.

However, if you travel further away from the central, you will see endless rice paddies, quiet roads and traditional Balinese villages to explore.

Lovina – North Bali

Lovina’s main attraction is the dolphin spotting. If you are bringing kids, I am sure they will love this. If you are up to explore waterfalls and hot springs on the quieter side of Bali, then this is the perfect place for you. This little tourist town is quieter and it is close to the beach. If you are a nature lover, an enthusiastic diver or want to explore the more authentic side of Bali, Lovina is a lovely town to do just that.

Candidasa – East Bali

If you are looking for a more calm and quiet trip away from the crowd then Candidasa is better compared to Seminyak and other hotspots. It is great for family holidays, where you just want to relax in your villa, spend the day at the beach, or go for a swim. If you are looking for other places of interests, there is the Lotus Lagoon, Kertha Gosa Hall of Justice and Tenganan Village.
