How to Achieve More Radiant Looking Skin While Traveling

0

When it comes to caring for your skin, it can be difficult at times to achieve that radiant look that you are after, especially if you’re constantly on the go.

There are so many factors that come into play in regard to the manner in which you care for your skin. Different time zones, long flights, and little rest all play a factor, as does the weather and time of year.

While achieving more healthy, radiant-looking skin is a journey that involves a great deal of trial and error, there are a few tips that can help you find the skincare regimen that’s right for you. Here are our tips.

Identify Your Skin Type

The first thing you need to do is identify your skin type. All of the face and body care products that you use should be designed to cater to your particular skin type for optimal effectiveness. If you have oily skin, then going to a humid climate is going to cause you to overproduce. If you have dry skin, then being in a dry climate will further exacerbate that.

Those with oily skin tend to experience a higher than average oil production either in the t-zone or all over the face. On the other hand, those with dry skin don’t see enough oil production on the face resulting in skin that can easily become flakey and rough.

Once you know what skin type you are working with, you can find products geared towards balancing things out and which help to bring about that radiant look you are after.

Look at Your Lifestyle

Aside from using the wrong products for your skin type, the lifestyle choices that you make might be getting in the way of you achieving more radiant skin. For instance, not drinking enough water throughout the day can have a negative impact on cell reproduction in your skin, resulting in a dull and listless appearance.

There are also certain foods that can be detrimental to the quality of your skin. Foods that are high in sugar and certain fats can result in the overproduction of oil in your skin which can, in turn, clog your pores and increase the appearance of blackheads.

Evaluate your diet and see if you can incorporate some foods that are actually good for your skin into it. Eating well and drinking plenty of water can go a long way to improving your skin and giving you that coveted radiant glow.

Pack correctly for your travels

When you’re heading to a new destination, be sure to pack the products your skin is used to using. Not having moisturizer and lip balm, for example, can cause your skin and lips to freak out. And you don’t need that kind of stress while traveling!

Before I leave for any destination I make sure to pack: my face wash, my makeup wipes, my moisturizer and my SPF.

One thing you don’t want to do while galavanting the world? Get burned! Protecting your skin from sunburns can help you to combat a host of issues related to the sun, including aging and sun spots. Guarding and caring for your skin will help it to be as radiant and glowy as you!
