Wondering where to get your summer travel fix? Hankering for a way to get away from home in the coming months? Well, here at Go! Girl Guides, we’ve got you covered! Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a museum maven, a nature lover or someone who just wants to do it all, this country has something for you. Here, we’ll give you three of our favorite reasons to travel to Costa Rica.

Indulge your sense of adventure: Costa Rica is a one-stop shop for travelers interested in being active and on-the-go. Head to the mountains and hike a volcano, make your way to one of the country’s countless beaches to learn to surf, or even take a plunge from Central America’s highest bungee jump. Better yet, do all three!

Bug out on nature:  More than 500,000 species live in Costa Rica and after seeing the country, we can’t blame them! With so many types of natural habitats and its lush tropical climate, Costa Rica is a fantastic place to take a guided tour of one of the many national parks, volunteer at an animal rescue center or even hang out with sloths!

Get cultured: Costa Rica is a haven for the outdoorsy, but there are plenty of options for art lovers and culture vultures. In San Jose, the country’s capital, you can see the Museum of Jade, check out the Museum of Contemporary Art & Design, discover the history of Costa Rican coins or, if you want to get a glimpse of how an indigenous tribe lives, spend an afternoon with members of the BriBri.

We hope that’s a little something to whet your traveling appetite! If you’re interested in reading more tips for solo traveling chicas in the land of pura vida, don’t forget to check out our guidebook to Costa Rica, coming soon!
