A Girl’s Weekend Guide to Paris

1

Paris is without a doubt one of the best cities in the world to visit. It has a unique magical aura, as well as a certain vibe you can’t find anywhere else. A weekend is the perfect time to explore a bit of this unforgettable city. There’s just so much to see and do. If you’re going to Paris by plane, then you’ll probably need to use a Paris airport shuttle to get from the airport to your hotel. Lebusdirect is a great option to reach the city and then go back to one of its airports. One thing is certain, though. Once you get to Paris you’ll never want to leave.

Saint Chapelle

Everything feels enormous and magnificent in Paris, especially its architecture. Saint Chapelle is one of the most breathtaking churches in Paris. It looks incredible when you look at it from the outside, but inside is where the real magic happens. Everything is so ornate and beautiful, and its aesthetic is impeccable. Its stained glass windows are almost from the floor to the ceiling and create a very penitent atmosphere. This gothic chapel isn’t considered a large attraction, but there are still queues and lines all the time. Make sure you’re there 9 a.m. sharp to avoid the crowds, and even sooner if you can manage it.

Notre-Dame

There are few buildings in the world that are as iconic as the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. It’s not only one of the most famous churches worldwide, but it’s also one of the most popular attractions in the city. Its tall towers and imposing buttresses create for an ambiance like no other. The Notre-Dame was originally constructed in the 14th century after two hundred years of building, and both is interior and exterior are definitely worth a visit. It’s free to enter the building, but there is a fee to visit the towers and the crypts.

Louvre

Art and culture are an inseparable part of Paris, and the Louvre is the proof. It’s the world’s largest and most visited art gallery with an absurdly large collection of priceless masterpieces. It’s most known for the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, but everything else is completely worth your time too. Exploring the entirety of the Louvre could easily take up at least a couple of days, which is why it’s important to try and limit yourself for a couple of hours. That’s if you want to make the most of your weekend in Paris.

Arc de Triomphe

Paris is an incredibly scenic city, and there are practically infinite amount spots with a view. However, few of those can match the pure beauty that’s offered at the Arch of Triumph. It can be found on the end of the Champs Elysees, and it’s a monument dedicated to those that died during the Frech Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. The area around the arch is absolutely worth a visit on its own, but every visitor should make it to the top of the arch. There are steps to the top, and also an elevator, and once you’re there you’ll enjoy the view in relative peace. The arch is definitely a must-see.

Eiffel Tower

Whenever anyone even thinks about Paris the first thing they think of is the Eiffel Tower. It’s the most iconic Parisian building, and one of the most popular in the entire world. It can be seen from any part of the city, so there’s no escaping it – not that you’d want to. Even though you can see it from everywhere, nothing compares to looking straight up while you’re underneath the tower. It’s definitely one of the most popular spots in Paris, both for tourists and locals. Here you’ll also find a lot of people merely picnicking, or watching the sunset. However, if you intend on climbing the tower, make sure you’ve pre-booked your tickets in advance.

River Cruise

This is arguably the best way to end a weekend in Paris. It doesn’t take a lot of effort, and you’ll get to have one good last look at the city. The river Seine sees a lot of cruise ships, so there are plenty of different offers. Most take about an hour, and some even offer a meal. With a cruise you’ll see a unique perspective on the city that most other attractions don’t offer. Cruising down the Seine is usually a very relaxing atmosphere, but also an educational one. If you enjoy listening to commentaries about the city’s history and important landmarks, then you definitely don’t want to miss out on a cruise. Just pick one that you think will suit you, because you won’t regret it in any case.

There are few cities that have had such a lasting global effect as Paris. It’s not only a beautiful destination to visit, but also quite unique and refreshing. It’s a city that everyone should visit at least once in their lives, as it’s a very unforgettable place.
