Iguazu Grand: An Amazing Luxury Hotel for Iguazu Falls

3

The small, Argentine town of Puerto Iguazú, home of the spectacular Iguazú Falls, attracts nearly one million international travelers per year.

Restaurants and hotels in the area are continuously being added and updated to accommodate such a surge of visitors; one of these hotels is the recently renovated Iguazú Grand: Resort Spa & Casino.

While there are many accommodation options in Puerto Iguazú, Iguazú Grand seems to have cornered the market for luxury hotels near Iguazu Falls with its immaculate, lush grounds (set on 15 acres of semi-tropical land) and bounty of amenities. Here’s our review of this incredible resort.

Iguazu Falls hotel review for Iguazu Grand.

The Location

This sizable resort is located a little off the beaten path in a relatively quiet and peaceful part of the town. Transportation to Iguazu Falls is available directly from the hotel, and is only about a 10-15 minute ride. And if you do decide to leave the grounds (although there is little need to) the bulk of shops and restaurants in the town are within walking distance.

The Room

48 extremely posh junior sweets were added to the hotel in 2006. The suites are spacious and have mesmerizing views of the pool and gardens. The king bed was plush and comfortable, the large flat-screen TV was easy to operate, and the work space provided was wonderful. There is also a safe located in the room and complementary WiFi . The whole room had a very regal feeling, but was warm and inviting.

The Bathroom

The main feature of the bathroom was the whirlpool tub, but the rest of the large, well illuminated area was just as nice. A tall glass-wall shower, dual sinks and separate toilet area made the space accommodating for a couple or single traveler.

The Amenities

The amenities provided are everything you can hope for from a luxury resort. There is a triple level outdoor pool – complete with trickling water falls, indoor, heated lap-pool, Roman bath, full spa (including a mint sauna) gym and a decadent spread for breakfast – all included in the cost of the room. The casino is pleasantly smoke-free, and offers beer, wine, cocktails and coffee. The lobby bar and full service restaurant, round out the inclusivity of the hotel.

All in all, the Iguazú Grand managed to compliment the experience of seeing the spectacular Iguazú falls themselves, making the entire experience beautiful, relaxing and captivating. From breakfast and coffee on the terrace in the morning, to a relaxing dip in the Roman bath after a long day at the falls, Iguazú Grand provides the perfect venue for a memorable vacation.
